Coming back to Life

Waking up to blaring bus horns, hot idli sambar, back on the bike, insane traffic, not less than three close calls on a ride of five kms and best of all - people whereever you see. Man, it feels good to be back!

I kinda hate to put lyrics or poems in blogs (yeah, yeah, I can see my blog's description), but I just can't resist this:

.....

Lost in thought and lost in time
While the seeds of lifeand the seeds of change were planted
Outside the rain fell dark and slow
While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime
I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the moment had arrived
For killing the past and coming back to life
.....

No doubt Waters is a great composer, but just can't agree Gilmour is in anyway inferior!

Something exciting....at last!!

Finally, I bought one thing I always wanted to own - a camera! My very own Canon Powershot A70!! Received this little gem the very next day of ordering. Though I am more of the 'shoot-and-click' type and will probably stick to the auto mode intially, I really can't wait to meddle with all the manual settings. Apparently, this is the only low-end model in which Canon has provided many features generally restricted to the top of the shelf stuff.

Hopefully no more Wish-I-Had-A-Camera-Now moments!

And nothing much happening, except the usual routine of working, watching TV and sleeping. Watched 'Just Married' few days back and Brittany Murphy, in this movie, is cute and sexy. She has that childish laugh which at the same time seems innocent and inviting! Having last seen her in 'Don't say a word', this movie is definitely an improvement.

Belated Wishes

First of all, a warm, though belated, new year wishes to all of you out there. I really can't give busy schedule as an excuse for the lack of updates on this blog. Just not able to bring myself to blog, dunno why. Has the charm for blogging worn off too quick? May be, may be not.

For the second time, I am being made to eat my words regarding the result of the BG Trophy! And as I said earlier, I have absolutely no regrets doing that. Getting a result out of this match may be difficult, but even then the result of the series will be a 1-1 draw which is 2-1 moral victory. Whatever it simply has been a fantastic series. The best part was that all the top order batsmen, excepting Akash Chopra (though contributing in valuable opening partnerships), have performed. Can you believe that the lowest of the highest scores made by them is 144 by Ganguly at Brisbane!

Screw the shape of the earth man! Why can't it be flat so that everyone on the planet can have one single timezone. The match starts in the evening and stretches to early hours in the morning. And thanks to the worst set of television channels possible, I'd have to follow the match on the net. I thought the occasional TVC shopping ads were bad and boy, was I wrong! Btw, HBO does provide some good entertainment occasionally, what? ;-)
